How the Process Works
Christian Judicial System uses a structured, faith-based process designed to promote biblical truth, accountability, reconciliation, and orderly dispute resolution. Whenever appropriate, CJS encourages parties to begin with guided Christian mediation before moving toward a formal hearing.

Important Process Boundaries
CJS uses a faith-based process focused on truth, accountability, reconciliation, and restoration. Participation is voluntary unless the parties have separately agreed otherwise in writing. CJS does not provide legal representation, emergency services, criminal investigations, or civil court services.
Each inquiry is reviewed individually. Some matters may be declined, referred elsewhere, or require legal, pastoral, counseling, emergency, or other professional support before CJS can consider involvement.
The CJS Process
1. Start Here
The process begins when a visitor submits a simple inquiry, referral, or request for guidance through the website.
2. Safety and Fit Review
CJS reviews the inquiry to determine whether the matter appears appropriate for faith-based dispute resolution. CJS does not handle emergencies, immediate danger, criminal investigations, or requests for legal representation.
3. Intake Conversation
If the matter appears appropriate, CJS gathers additional information, explains the process, and helps determine whether mediation or another path is the best next step.
4. Respondent Invitation
When another party is involved, CJS invites that person or organization to participate and explains the voluntary nature of the process.
5. Guided Christian Mediation
When appropriate, the parties first have the opportunity to resolve the matter through informal Christian mediation. The mediator helps the parties communicate, clarify issues, pursue repentance and forgiveness where appropriate, and work toward a voluntary written agreement.
6. Formal Hearing, if Needed
If mediation does not resolve the dispute, and if the matter remains appropriate for CJS, the parties may proceed to a more formal Christian resolution hearing.
7. Written Agreement or Decision
If mediation succeeds, the parties may sign a written reconciliation agreement. If the matter proceeds to a formal hearing, CJS may issue a written decision, recommendation, or resolution document depending on the process agreed to by the parties.
8. Follow-Up and Closure
CJS follows up to encourage completion of agreed commitments, document the outcome, and close the matter responsibly.

CJS is not a civil court, law firm, emergency service, or crisis-response agency. CJS does not provide legal advice or guarantee outcomes. Anyone facing immediate danger, abuse, criminal conduct, or urgent legal deadlines should contact appropriate authorities or qualified legal counsel.
